i was charged with a 4th degree csc. i was 18 and the girl was 15. we were dating for 71/2 months. the whole time we were dating she told me she was 17. now dont judge because you know how younger women are. she lied to me and also had her friends lie to me. during the 7 1/2 months we had sex once and it was CONSENSUAL. i had no idea she was only 15 she looked at least 21. but due to my own poor judgement i messed up. im not denying i had sex with a underage girl but it was because i was lied to. if i would have known i would have never been anywhere near this girl. what i dont understand is why i was charged for sex with a minor when i was LIED to and nothing happend to her but i got to jail and get 5yrs probation and i have to register as a sex offender for 25 years. What is really messed up is that i live in lenawee country michigan were the courts rule everything and the cops are pos and do not take there job seriously. They claim that i had sex with her when she was 14 but i know for a fact that she was 15 now. We did not have sex till she claimed it was her 18th birthday. When can I obtain lasik in the military? All of my local recruiters have told me it would be after I'm assigned to my permanent duty station. Also they stated since that reason for me needing lasik is because of front-line duty (example: I'm in the 101st Airborne and glasses are a pain in the *** out in the field.) that I would be put at the top of the waiting list. Speaking to an Army recruiter for the first time?

I've been doing lots of research about joining the army recently. I'm 25 and basically fed up with my career as a correctional officer, looking for some possible change. Very few jobs in the army interest me at this point in my life with the exception of military intelligence. Now based on what I've read in articles and online it seems if anything the army is downsizing, or at least is swamped with recruits. I have yet to speak with a recruiter. When I do is it wrong to basically tell him I'm only interested in a select few jobs, mainly 35M (Human Intelligence Collector) and that if I cannot have that job I'm basically not interested? From my perspective I'm giving up a good salary and my future pension (I've got 5 years in) to join the army, therefore I'm not willing to "settle" on what they have available. I would rather wait or simply not join. This may seem rude or demanding, but I'm just being very upfront, as I expect them to be with me since I view recruiters as looking out for the best interests of the military while I'm looking out for mine and my wife's best interests. Should I even bother going in to talk to him at this point?

Utorrent Download Speed Tracker issue?

This might be a dual fold issue. As far as the offline, no host or connection that just means your computer cannot connect to that tracker. So it cannot pull any information from that tracker (the tracker might be blocked or just be down). As far as seeders, if you have enough seeders and you are CONNECTED to them as you said you should have no problems downloading at a faster rate. Your best bet is to change the port that your tracker is running on to see if that makes a difference so that maybe you can connect to more seeders. If that does not work then your ISP is throttling torrent downloads on your connection. If that is true, you really have no way around that unless they lift that throttle on your line.

I am connected to a wireless network that is password protected, run by a company that supplies wireless internet to my barracks. I have my xbox 360 connected via ethernet from my pc, to my 360. I have no problem getting connection to my 360, but I am having trouble with my NAT settings. I have added ports udp88 udp 3074 and tcp 3074 to my firewall list, as recommended, and I am still encountering problems. I am wondering how i would manage my NAT settings if i cannot control my modem/router? i contacted my ISP and they tell me "we dont deal with 3rd party connections and we will not alter settings for gaming consoles. I have used this connection in the past on my old laptop, which is in a slag heap now, and it worked fine then. Is there something i have missed? I can connect to xbox live but my NAT is set to moderate. This causes complications loading multiplayer matches on every multiplayer game i have. My xbox live does not appear to work. it keeps giving me the option to reset my router, that clearly doesn't do anything. I have done this numerous times and it refuses to work. I even went out and bought a new router. It also gives me the question if i have port 3074 opened and that my firewall isn't blocking it. Are all Naval OCS positions full for Fiscal Year 2012?

I am a 25 year-old college graduate who is interested in becoming an officer in the Navy. My recruiter has notified me that since all Officer Candidate School positions have been taken for Fiscal Year 2012, I would have to join as enlisted for one year and then submit my package for OCS consideration in 2013. He also mentioned that this would give me a leg up on other civilian candidates. I'm not necessarily opposed to joining the Navy as enlisted, but when I was at MEPS this past week I was told by one of the medical officers that it would be a shame for someone (especially a female) with a college degree to waste it by not attempting to become an officer right out of the gate. They even recommended that I talk to other branches to see if I would be able to enter their officers program. Does anyone have any advice or guidance for me? Should I wait a year to enter the military so that I can apply for OCS? Enter enlisted for a year and then apply? Look into the AF or Army? Camp and might get period what to do help please asap!!?

Okay so I live in fl and Im going to camp in Cail. I talked to my local recruiter and he said I needed 15 college credits. I have a Penn Foster Diploma High School. I am 17 and dropped out of college what can I do. I want to join the Army but it seems the only way I can is through college. I asked them if I could go back to my local High School and they said yes is this true. Also I told him I had asthma after 13, and I took my self off my medication at 14 or 15 and I didnt have any problems. He told me as long as I get cleared from the doctor I would be fine. Solar panel tracker and limit switches?

I ordered a 12 volt solar tracking chip with 4 sensors, one on the left, two in the middle and third on the right. This will be the sensor for a homemade solar tracker with one dc motor salvaged from printer. The circuit board has two leads + and - for motor and two for power. Problem is i may want to limit the motion from turning to far to the right as the sun sets or from having it turn 360 twisting the motor when it repositions. It should stop when it hits the switch but allow the motor to turn back the way it was so it wont twist the wires when the morning sun rises. I dont think it needs to reposition it self to the start automatically since the left sensor should do it as described in listing but if it doesnt, how would i make it reposition at start point?

Left army reserve, can I join marines?

I was in the army reserve but didn't go to boot camp yet. I backed out (or so i was told i did when i applied for it) because i needed to get my grades up because i was failing a class. I did the split op which is where i go to bct between junior and senior years. So i would need to pass anyway to go to boot camp. So i spoke with my army recruited and backed out. So I got my grades up (which im good to go now). Im trying to get into the marines DEP now (which i wont back out of because i passed the class). They have to go and get my medical paperwork and discharge letter. Apparently I was never discharged from the army reserve (even though i was told i was by my recruiter). Its going through now. What kind of discharge is it? and Entry Level? The marine recruiter said I can go into the marines as through as this goes through, which may take a month??? Military Police question?

So Im supposed to sign a contract in two days. Ive read the job description online and all but my brother was in for 6 years, army by the way, and said that MPs are hated. Ive always thought being in law enforcement would be cool. Im not trying to be the guy who annoys the $hit out of my fellow soldiers though. Ive also heard that MPs are being taken over by civilian-contracted police. Pretty much i just want some input. Anybody an MP or know an MP. Whats the job like here in the US and when deployed. I am about to join the navy and am getting my background check info in order. My husband has not seen or heard from his father for about 20 years. Torrent files never work?

occasionally i will get a torrent to work. But recently I tried downloading a torrent with 234 seeders and like 6 leechers (Just guessing) and it still wouldn't work. I've used a couple different programs like bittorrent, vuze, and transmission (I'm on an imac g5). On transmission, I will get an error after awhile saying it cant retrieve trackers. I've looked at the comments on the torrent file webpage and one's that are recent are saying they have no problem download. Listen you did nothing wrong. You actually did the right thing by backing out and improving your grades. Education first because the Military will always be there. What the Marine Recruiter is talking about is the Army was suppose to write a official letter discharging from the branch. If you did go to basic training during the Split Op, you were partially in the Military upon graduation. The Army is the only branch that has the Split Op bs. I will tell you the Army is a little disappointed that they started your training and you backed out. You will be fine. Dont worry yourself about the discharge, it is just a formality. The Marines will be a Experience you never forget from Day 1 of boot camp. Trust me. Its been 22yrs and i remember Day 1 like it was yesterday.

Coast Guard ME Reserve requirements?

The CG website doesn't state any differences in terms of enlistment requirements for active duty and reserve. However, a recruiter told me that all people enlisting as an ME in the reserves need to already work in civilian law enforcement or have experience in law enforcement, or something like that, which I am not qualified for. Active duty, on the other hand, just states you meet the basic requirements on the website, which I definitely DO meet. This doesn't sound right to me, as I have seen many forums with ME reservists in the ME A School within the last few months who never stated previous law enforcement experience. It's impossible to diagnose a circuit without a circuit diagram, but a 3V increase in voltage should not be "burning" transistors. That suggests to me either you do not have a suitable current-liniting resistor on the transistor base or you are asking it to pass too much current between collector and emitter - is it possible that it is being shorted or your transistor is under-rated? Another possibilty than occurs to me is are you protecting your circuit from back-EMF generated in the motor? If you are unsure then a reverse-biased diode wired across the motor connection is a good idea - a 1N4001 will be suitable for smallish motors.

I just bought a new Xbox 360 slim this wednesday and i have been wanting to play games like black ops with my friends. well when i had my ps3 i was able to play with my friends until one day when i tried connecting to a friend and it wouldn't let me. idk what happened. and now with my xbox, i still cant play with any of my friends or even connect to a party. i opened up 4 ports on my router (btw i have a linksys router.) i have 3074 both, 88 udp, 53 both and 80 tcp open. when i test my connection it says it connected to everything and when i back out of the network screen and go back to the network screen, it says everything is unknown. i also have an error status report of W:0000-0021, X:0000-F001, Y:20A8-4840, Z:0000-0000, ID:FFFF-FFFF. and im able to play online all the time, just not with any of my friends. idk what my nat is cuz i cant seem to find it anywhere on my xbox. i also have dmz enabled and upnp enabled. im unable to hardwire my xbox cuz my modem is in my living room.. id appreciate any help getting my xbox up and running correctly cuz its really starting to upset me. i havent been able to play with any of my friends since october-november ish..

Joining the US Air Force?

I talked to a recruiter yesterday and because of a birth deformity he said that I am disqualified from joining the Air Force. I am missing a couple fingers but I've yet to find anything that it has held me back from. I'm able to lift weights with the hand and even write with it. I also have perfect vision and hearing, and no criminal record at all. It is also not my dominant hand if that matters. I guess my main question is would it be possible for me to get a waiver if I went and got a college degree and a pilot's license and tried to get in again? Or should I not bother wasting my time? How does the Marine Corps work?

Whats the difference between tcp and udp?

TCP is connection-oriented. You send a message to the server saying "hey I'm going to send you stuff". The server responds in acknowledgement. Then, you start sending stuff. The server acknowledges everything you send. If you don't get an acknowledgement, you resend the data. As a result, you're guaranteed either to get everything in the order it was sent or you get an error. In UDP, the sender just sends the packet and goes. It uses much less bandwidth, but the receiver may receive the data out of order or not at all.

Joining the air force?

I'm 18 years old and already completed on year in college of nursing prerequisites and was considering joining the air force, i met with a recruiter and some things are still unclear about if i could finish schooling in there for nursing. My life at home isn't the best, my dads an alcoholic and my moms an addict. I'm trying to do better for my life and go to college and make smart choices but being in this environment is making it hard, i have always considered the military and now more then ever it seems to be as if it would be a very smart decision. My concern is whether or not i will be able to get a degree and what degree would be the best idea.

I have a question about the army pre basic task list?

i've been looking for some stuff about the pre basic task list, and ive found that you need to know military time, ranks, first aid, how to read a map and distance and stuff like that on the map, a apft, marching and all that. I know the ranks, the time, the marching and somewhat remember how to read a map and coords (took a class in school for 2 years that taught me that but it's been so long ago) what worries me is the first aid, idk first aid, is there any way i can study for that? earlier i was reading something about how you take a test for the task list on a computer at the recruiter's office. if i can do the task list will the recruiter help me with the few things i need help with?

You are very unlikely to be hired as a permanent scientist (civil servant) at NASA - to hire a foreigner for that job, they must convince the hiring committee that no one in the US could do that job. You'd need to be a citizen to have decent shot at it. However, it's a bit easier (although still very competitive) to get into NASA as a postdoc for 2-3 years as a non-citizen.

i will complete my bachelor's degree at the end of this year (it's in English - I would eventually like to become a teacher) and I would like to know if the Coast Guard looks more favorably on people with degrees. Obviously, it would make it possible for me to go to OCS, but does a degree help rapport with the recruiters? Grand Theft Auto 4 Disconnected from game session? Xbox 360?

Alright, I have researched this already, and very thoroughly too. I have port forwarded 3074 3 times, and they still exist (UDP, TCP, and Both). I have also made the same ports in my hub manager. So whats up? My NAT type is open, but yet I still cannot connect to games. Even when the Xbox is the only internet device running, it still does this, I can never get into games. Yesterday, it seemed to be working, but now its not working again.

Can I join the Army with past shoulder problems?

I want to join the army and have wanted to for some time. About 1 1/2 - 2 years ago I injured my shoulder and my shoulder was dislocated and I went to the doc and he just popped it back in. since then It seems very weak as it has come out of place at least 5 times since the incidnet occured. Army or Navy which one?

I was in the Navy so I can't speak for the Army. I believe you when you say that you are motivated but remember that everyone that goes into SEAL training said the same thing. They will mentally and physically break you. Just keep that in mind. In the Navy when you are on sea duty you will deploy for about 6 months every other year. In the months leading up to your 6 month deployment, or cruise, you will go on smaller deployments for a couple of weeks to a month at a time. Living space onboard are very small, about the size of a coat closet turned on its side is where you will sleep and keep your belongings. To put it in perspective imagine a typical McDonald's restaurant dining room. That space can hold up to 80 people. Plan to work 12+ hours a day, every day, and pull into port about 1-2 times a month if you are lucky. When you are in port and you don't have a duty day you can go out in town and relax. When you are back at base and not deploying you will likely live onboard the ship until you move up the ranks. When you are lower on the totem pole the work is grueling and sometimes demeaning, but it must get done.

Why doesVuze (Azureus) constantly changes port numbers?

When i open Vuze, i get an error message that says that there were upnp device problems and that my ports have changed. It does this every time i open Vuze, so every time, i get a new set of port numbers (TCP & UDP). I have gone into my Linksys router to forward the ports, and i have also unchecked the "block anonymous internet request" box that is located in my router, but it doesn't help when Vuze changes the numbers again on it's next startup. When i do start it up, after it tells me about the upnp device problem, i do a "nat test", and both numbers check out fine. So then i have to go back into my router and forward those new port numbers, only for them to change again at the next start up. Why is Vuze constantly changing the numbers? Thanks.
