Waivers for tattoo for enlisting in USMC?

Now, I already know bout the policy. I already know bout the whole hand covering part. Today my recruiter took pictures of my tattoo to submit for a waiver. I am just curious if people are even getting approved. I know bout the whole cutbacks on stuff, just curious if I even got a fighting chance to get in. My recruiter told me a lot will depend on my physical fitness and ASVAB score. So, my question is this; Anyone know someone who has got in recently (past 2 years) with the Marine Corps tattoo policy, and if so, how hard was it?
