Ps3 will not connect to psn?

I have no idea what you're talking about, but this same thing happened to me yesterday. When i did a connection test it only connected to my IP adress and the internet, but not PSN. I tried over and over again and gave up. Hours later i tried again and it worked. This problem is common, or so i hear
