Questions about joining military?

I am 22 years old, and was going to join the air force at age 18, planned for it since about 16. My whole family is and it was just what I am supposed to do. At 17 I got into a relationship taking on 2 kids, then when my GF at the time got pregnant with my son we decided to get married. So now I have 3 kids and a wife. When I returned to the recruiter I was then not able to join because I had to many dependents to join the air force. My youngest son is now almost 3 and I am looking into joining again. Air force is still not an option, but I am pretty open to other things. I love the marines and army I am upsessed with it actually, but the long deployments are to much for my family, I would be ok leaving for like 6 months or so, but any more than that would be really tough again not for me but for my family. I am looking into national guard and air national guard. Does anyone have any opinions for me. Even about army and marines and navy and all that, just some information that could help me out. O ya I don't like water.
