What is the easiest way to get re stationed in the Air Force?

We have been at the same base for about 5 years. We are just looking for a change. I would love to see more, and move to a different region. Any tips? My husband has applied for recruiter duty, but has yet to hear back (it's been about two months since turning in his pre-screening application).
